Dear Family.

Hey everyone it’s Sunday and my visa came through so I leave TOMORROW!!! I am so excited it’s crazy. I got pretty sick and was bed ridden for a few days so sorry about no letter last week but I got all better yesterday so it’s all good. The spanish is coming great, I can teach all the lessons in complete spanish and pretty much say anything I want. I leave for the airport tomorrow @ 3:00 am so I am planning on sleeping the whole flight. I go to Dallas, then Miami then Guayaquil. I just talked to a teacher that went to my same mission and he says that my thought son the mission are all wrong. Dear Family,

Hey all, Elder Frye here.

All is going great at the MTC. I get my flight plans today. I am supposed to leave on Monday but I could leave on Tuesday or Wednesday. Oh yeah I talked to some teacher who just got back from my mission and he said that I will have a “mamita” which is a maid who cooks and does al the laundry but she can only cook on thing to Americans (so we don’t get sick). And she only cooks white rice and coiled chicken… for every meal… for 2 years. Holy smokes I will lose so much weight. Everybody I talked to said that regardless of if you get sick or not

¡ HOLA FAMILIA !

August 20, 2008 Leave a comment

Hey all it’s my first night at the MTC! It’s all so new and fast so I don’t really have a good grasp of whats going on but it’s okay. My companion is Jeff Olson. He is from LA. It is really weird cause I knew him really well from BYU Provo. He lived in the dorms with me, a couple rooms down. It’s funny since I am with the advanced spanish group everybody but me and my companion are native spanish speakers from South America or Mexico. You live on the floor with your language groups so on the floor we are known as los americanos. It’s cool, I am getting along withe everybody but it’s pretty tiring. I keep seeing people I know from school so that is pretty exciting. So how is the family? Whats new with everybody. I have leave for equador in 2.5 weeks.

¡Adios!
